Raz

 Foster or forever home needed!

Posted May 2025

From Raz's southern foster family:

"Raz showed up one day on the sidewalk — hungry but hopeful — and walked straight into our hearts. From the moment he arrived, he’s been nothing but sweet, playful, and full of life. He’s still a pup, but he’s already showing what a loyal and loving companion he can be.

With his wiry brindle coat, expressive eyes, and goofy energy, Raz brings joy wherever he goes. He’s healthy, vetted, and learning quickly — he even knows basic commands like “sit” and is eager to please.

What Raz Loves:

    •    Playing with other dogs — he’s incredibly social and thrives in canine company. He’s super attached to our mama dog.

    •    Exploring outside and going on adventures

    •    Cuddling close after a full day of fun

    •    Being part of the action with his people

He’s been living among several dogs and puppies, and while he’s done great in the pack, it’s clear he’s ready for a forever home of his own — ideally one where he can continue to enjoy companionship, structure, and lots of love.

Raz’s Ideal Home :

    •    Another playful dog is a bonus

    •    A person or family with time for play, guidance, and affection

    •    A yard or active lifestyle he can be part of

    •    Someone who wants a best friend for life

Raz is the kind of pup who bonds deeply and loves hard. He’s got the potential to be a once-in-a-lifetime companion — and he’s ready for someone who sees just how special he is."

Raz is a 1 yr old terrier mix who weighs 35 lbs, so he will not grow much more, if at all. What a great dude! He can come north as soon as we have a foster family available.

If you have interest in meeting Raz  or any of our other awesome dogs, please fill out the adoption application.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout Maine and it is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
