Ruby - in Maine!

Ruby needs another chance at forever love. She was returned to the rescue because she is just too much dog for a "typical" family. Ruby is a grown-up hound dog who needs to run and sniff and explore. She does well in her crate but only after she has had the exercise she needs. She is 2 yrs old and 60 lbs. 
We would call her a "rowdy" dog - she will bark and jump and dig and get into mischief when unsupervised. She is not a dog for a family with small children because she can be possessive over toys and bones. 
Thankfully, Ruby is with our friends at Kompletely K9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation and is learning some manners and self-control. She would do great on a farm or with a lot of space but has not yet developed reliable recall.  
Ruby needs an experienced dog family and at least one other canine buddy to tire her out and be a good model for her.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed. Ruby will require a meeting with humans and dogs in Montville ME and will require a family to commit to continuing her training. 
She is so beautiful and we want her to live up to her full potential as a great canine buddy!
